Learn the four basic communication styles to help increase sales
There are basically four different communication styles, and there are multiple different exercises, or mediums out there to learn this.
Dominant personality or communication style
They're sort of aggressive, they're dominant, they like to have control, and they like to be right.
If you are communicating with a prospect and you know that they have a dominant communication style, what do you need to do?
You need to give them control of the conversation. You need to communicate in an assertive manner, so that you grab their attention, and captivate them.
Analytical type personality style
They want information. You've got to be assertive, be powerful in your language, but you also have to give information. If they don't have the information, they're not going to move forward.
Excited, spirited, promoter kind of people
They're usually involved in sales or marketing. They're high energy, they move quickly, and they don't always have the most patience which means you have about 2.5 seconds to get their attention. You've got to be upbeat, you've got to be excited! If you are boring, forget about it! They're not interested, they're moving on.
Supportive personality style
This type of personality style doesn't like all that fluff or energy. In fact, they will retract away from it. In your messaging, you also have to have the softer side of yourself because the last thing that they want is an aggressive person. The last thing they want is someone that's way too excited like that communication style won't even know how to deal with it.
You've got to communicate all four of those things and you've got to be able to recognize it when you're communicating with someone.
It's time to start paying attention to people's voices and their actions.
You've got to be creative if you really want to have a one-hundred percent success rate with your sales pitch, you've got to do that right out of the gate.
